Overview
When working within Actionstep you may find that you are sometimes unable to delete certain contact records. In this article, we'll take a look at why that may happen and how to get around it.
Reason we can't delete a contact
We can hover over the question mark to see the reason why we can't delete the contact record, from this example we can see it's linked to Sales Purchase Record, Trust Action Beneficiary, and Matter.
Once contact is linked to any Accounting record, we are unable to delete this contact even if we remove all the accounting records of this contact so the solution for this would be editing the incorrect contact record and adding a ZZZ to the front of the contact name. This will push this record down to the bottom and you will not see it when trying to look for the contact
When can we delete a contact
We can delete a contact if there is no record on the contact itself, the delete option would be highlighted in red which means you can delete this contact record if needed.
