The Office 365 Actionstep for Word Add-in provides a quick and easy means of creating document templates for use in Actiosntep. The add-in is available in both Word Online and desktop versions of Word using Office 365.
The add-in works by allowing users to search and select Actionstep data points to add to documents. It inserts merge fields that populate with Actiosntep data when the document is generated in Actionstep.
The Office 365 Actionstep for Word Add-in can be installed from the Microsoft Office Store. The installation and use is near-identical on both Word Online and the desktop version of Microsoft Word.
With a Word document open, select Insert then the Add-ins button.
In Word, select Insert then the Get add-ins button.

The add-in button mentioned above launches the Office Add-ins screen.
To find the Actionstep Word Add-in, perform a search for "Actionstep." This will return the Actionstep for Word add-in. Select the info card for additional information. Select the Add button to install the add-in.
Once added, a new Actionstep menu item will appear in your Word documents.
Select this option to reveal a submenu.
Select the Actionstep submenu button. This will launch the add-in on the right side of your screen.
Select Log in to launch an Actionstep Login screen.
Enter your login information and select the Log in button. This will launch a screen that requests access to your system to use the add-in.
Select Grant access to allow the connection. Once access is granted, the setup is complete!
