In this article, you will learn about the 'Sales and Marketing' functionality available from within a matter.
To access the Sales and Marketing options, click on the 'Sales and Marketing' option within the sidebar on the left of the Matter Billing Overview.
The main purpose of this page is to record the details of a sale, whether it be expected or complete.
Under the General section, you can indicate the immediate status of the sale, in terms of whether it has been secured or whether it is still sitting in the pipeline. Depending on which option is selected, you will see more options under the General section, as per the screenshot above.
If you have indicated that the sale is complete, this section will become visible and you will be asked to fill in the 'Actual sale amount' and 'Sale date', as well as the 'Sales Order' that was used. Remember to save your work after you have done so.
If you have indicated that the sale is still in progress via the pipeline, you can fill out this section with the details of the sale such as its Expected sale amount, the 'Expected sale date', the 'Probability %' and the 'Sales Quote' that was provided to the client.
If you have set up 'Marketing Campaigns' for this particular matter, you will see more information about them here, such as the type of activity, the amount of contribution and any notes regarding activities.
