Overview
The Matter Aging Report is a great tool to see the average time it takes for matters of a selected matter type to be moved through each step. For the selected matter type, the report displays any step on which a matter currently resides, how many matters are on that step, and how long they have been on that step.
Accessing the Matter Aging Report
The Matter Aging Report is located at Reports > Matter Reports in the 'General' category.
Report Configuration Options
Age based on |
Controls from which date aging is calculated on the report. When the Age based on field is set to Matter Created Date, the Age will reflect the number of days since the creation of the matter. If it is set to Date moved to current step, Age will reflect the number of days since the matter was moved to the current step. |
Matter Type | Designates the matter type used for report information. The report can only return results for one matter type at a time. Only matters of the selected type will display in the report results. |
Group By Participant | When set to None, the report will display a single table that includes data for all matters. When a participant type is specified, there will be individual tables for each participant of that type. For instance, selecting 'Lawyer' will display a table for each participant assigned to a lawyer role in a matter. |

This allows the settings to be updated and, allows the report to be re-generated.
