The Actionstep Marketplace is a collection of pre-packaged workflows and plugins that you can install into your Actionstep system.
Add-ins are preconfigured workflows which may include document templates and custom list views. Apps are typically designed by other users with knowledge in specific areas and are a way for them to share their expertise. Apps can range in complexity from sophisticated workflows (like specific legal specialties) to simple business utilities (like managing passwords or insurance policies).
Plugins are installable code modules that give you some additional capabilities. Most often these allow you to integrate with an external system like Outlook, MS Office, Gmail, Xero or HotDocs.
Some apps are available as native apps for mobile and tablet devices and can be installed from the mobile manufacturer's own app store (like iTunes). These apps communicate with your Actionstep system via the Actionstep Application Programmers Interface (API).
Web apps run in a browser and communicate with your Actionstep system via the Actionstep API. Clients may develop in-house web apps to provide custom reporting for example. Web apps can also be created by third parties to provide alternative user interfaces or custom functionality. Getting Help with Apps
Many apps are created by third parties and the App Store listing will tell you how to get support from the developer of the app. If in doubt contact email@example.com and we will point you in the right direction.
