Overview
In this section we discuss the various parts of calendar (what you are looking at when you open your Actionstep Calendar).
We will break it down into three parts to help explain it better:
1. The Left Hand Bar
In the left hand bar you have the Create new event button, a monthly summary and a list of calendars that you have access to.
Create new event button
It does what it says. Click on this button to create a new appointment.
The monthly summary
This will default to the current month. Today's date will be highlighted in bold and the day or week that you are currently viewing in the main appointment display will be highlighted. Other events that you have in your calendar will also be highlighted on this mini-calendar.
You can change the month that is currently showing by either using the drop down menus for month and year or by clicking the left and right arrow buttons on either side of "Today" at the top of the calendar.
If you click on a day on the calendar the main appointment display will be updated to that day (or the week containing that day if you are in week view).
The list of calendars
These are all the calendars that you have permission to view. They could be calendars that you have created yourself (see Creating a new Calendar) or ones that someone else owns and has shared with you (see Sharing your Calendar for more details).
You can change the order of how these appear by clicking and dragging the box that represents the calendar. You can also edit the calendar, share it or change its display color by clicking on the drop down arrow to the right of the calendars name.
Again, see the pages on Editing your calendar and Sharing your Calendar for more details on how to do these.
You can hide or unhide appointments from any calendar by using the tick box to the left of the calendars name.
