Tags are the ability to assign an identifier to an object. Tags can be assigned to contacts, tasks, custom data, documents, and file notes. You can create, edit, and delete the tags in your database by going into Admin > Additional Settings > Tags.
How to add tags to File Notes is very simple. Just open any matter where you would like to mark a file notes with a tag. (Common tag used is "Important")
Once in any matter hover over the File Notes icon (fourth green icon) and select "User Notes". Once selected, create or select on any file note you deem is important or want to stand out over the rest.
Once you either create or edit at the bottom you will see an option for Tag. Select that drop down and select a tag you want to use. (We are going to use Important). Once selected, select save.
Once saved you will be reverted back to the File Note page and now you will see your file note with the tag and next to the title on the right you will see a "Star" icon noting that it's important.
