Connecting Actionstep and Josef

Overview

Josef can be integrated with Actionstep for the easy flow of data from your bot to Actionstep. This means user activity in your bot can be made instantly available in your Actionstep account and trigger further actions. Using the information your bot gathers, you can trigger the following actions in Actionstep:

  • Create a new action/matter

  • Create a participant

  • Create a company contact

  • Create a individual contact

  • Create a file note

  • Create a task

  • Create a disbursement

  • Create a time entry

  • Update individual contact

  • Update a matter

  • Update a task

  • Add a participant to a matter

The high-level process for integrating your bot looks like this:

  1. First, build out your Josef bot to gather the information you want to send to Actionstep.

  1. Once you’re happy with your bot, you can either: (a) build the integration with the help of a developer; (b) contact us to build the integration for you; or (c) integrate with Actionstep using Zapier.

  1. Once the integration is complete, the final step is to test your bot to make sure it’s working.
